Should we ever ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. We have both electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we hold.
In the normal operation of our business, we may collect the following information:
- Your first and last name
- Contact information including email address, postal address and telephone number
We require this information for:
- Internal record keeping
- To contact you whilst working together
We may contact you by email, phone or mail. For the purposes of the GDPR, Glaser Group is the designated Data Controller, and also Data Processor for our internal business data. Automattic
Our websites uses various services provided by Automattic and their subsidiaries, including Jetpack.com, Akismet.com and WordPress.com. Automattic’s privacy policy can be found here.
Comments
This only applies if you leave a comment on one of our posts. Data Used: Commenter’s name, email address, and site URL (if provided via the comment form), timestamp, and IP address. Additionally, jetpack.wordpress.com will receive the following data: WordPress.com blog ID attached to the site, ID of the post on which the comment is being submitted, commenter’s local user ID (if available), commenter’s local username (if available), commenter’s site URL (if available), MD5 hash of the commenter’s email address (if available), and the comment content. The following information is sent to the Akismet anti-spam service for the sole purpose of spam checking: commenter’s name, email address, site URL, IP address, and user agent. Activity Tracked: The comment author’s name, email address, and site URL (if provided during the comment submission) are stored in cookies. Data Synced: All data and metadata (see above) associated with comments. This includes the status of the comment and, if Akismet is enabled on the site, whether or not it was classified as spam by Akismet.
Sharing Buttons
This only applies if you use one of the sharing buttons on a post or page to share that post to your social media account. Each of the social media services may use cookies and other methods to track the sharing of our posts. Please see their respective Privacy Policies for more information. When sharing content via the email button the following information is used: sharing party’s name and email address, IP address (for spam checking), user agent (for spam checking), and email body/content. This content will be sent to Akismet so that a spam check can be performed.
Google Analytics
Our websites use a third-party Data Processor, Google Analytics, to monitor visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is anonymous and processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. Google’s privacy policies can be viewed here.
MailChimp
We maintain a mailing list, held with a third-party Data Processor, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter and send promotional emails or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. MailChimp automatically gathers statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies which help us monitor and improve our communications.
